WWII Shipboard Corpsman's M1

Here is a helmet from my collection marked to a Shipboard Corpsman. It is painted in a naval blue gray with a single red cross applied to the front. The first pattern Saint Clair liner is painted in a matching blue gray, but it has no cross.
