Yes, yes! I do believe the liner is WWII vintage. It has the grommet hole for the insignia, hbt webbing, and green "A" brackets (although rusted, can see green). There is a "V" stamped on the nape. I think it's the manufacturer. I would not be surprised if it is WWII and used post-war, for the 36th. Ian

Also, the leather looks to be replaced postwar (that's pretty usual for a lot of my WWII liners), the nape has one part khaki (earlier in the war) and another part replaced with OD (but still hbt), so I'm thinking late or just after WWII for that addition to the nape. Ian

    Hello,

the stickers could only have been attached after WWII, as the paint underneath was renewed in OD # 7 after WWII.
This is no longer an original WWII or factory paint.

A color that was used from the 1950s until after the Vietnam War.

In addition, the neck and sweatband were replaced. In terms of color and weave, both date from after 1956.

You could classify the liner as it stands here in the 1960's or 1970's.

Neckband is HBT? Ok it was made in the color from 1951 to 1956.
