    Hello,

Picked this one up recently as part of a burgeoning interest in Soviet militaria. I try to focus on pre-1953 'Stalin era' stuff, so this MVD visor fit the bill. Dated 1951, and in very good overall condition. I was unable to translate the maker's mark, unfortunately. It does have its flaws, most notably one large area of mothing on the reverse, where the peak overhangs the band. Luckily this isn't really noticeable when the cap is on display.

I almost bought this one myself, very good cap from a very rare maker! I believe it is the Record factory from Germany

It’s a nice one indeed, even with the moth damage. Absolutely tiny too, almost child sized.

Possibly a subsidiary of the same company? Soviet industrial distribution isn’t one of my areas of expertise!
