Wow Jean!
Thank you for sharing these! Those are amazing uniforms and the display you have on them is amazing.
I've been looking for a double-breasted NKVD Mundir for a while, however have had no luck, so am debating on putting my boards on a regular Obr.43 Gymnasterka.
Do you have any other NKVD/MGB stuff? I'd be interested in seeing it!

An old but interesting topic.
Medical personnel assigned to the NKVD apparently had special narrow shoulder boards with blue piping. What about the other branches?
For example, did a doctor assigned to the Air Force have narrow shoulder boards with Air Force blue piping or did he have the standard shoulder boards of the medical service?

From my research, only the NKVD (including PV) had a 'separate' colour narrow-type shoulder board for their medical troops.
Normally, medical officers would have red piping and maroon (or burgundy, unsure of the correct name!) stripes running down the middle of their field shoulder boards.

The following website has a lot of very interesting examples medical service shoulder boards, worth a skim through!

For some reason I could not post on the forum for a few days. This is the reason for my delayed response.
Thank you for your response and mentioning the web link. The web link is certainly a nice reference.
