K,
I like it. Not an expert by any means. But I like the wear and overall appearance. Also like the sweatband materiel and the honest wear to the back of the visor. I'd certainly place it in the Pre-45 arena. Let's see what others have to say.

It's for sale on Militaria Antique Stockholm and they offered more dubious, tampered Soviet visors before so I don't dare to give an opinion here.
Well... that certainly adds to the mix. I'm not familiar with the dealer or site mentioned. Yet another reason to belong to the forum. The ability to get input from others and the opportunity to get information... information and more information.
Waiting to see how this one turns out.

I would stay away from Militaria Antique Stockholm in regards to Soviet visor caps.
Don't they want like 800 dollars for this dang thing? I personally don't like the visor on it.

Spenwil73,
Regards your comment about not liking the visor. What is it that raises your concern? Would like to know so I can apply the knowledge to any future purchases I might make.
Thanks!

I can see a Krasnyi Voyn stamp pattern that was in use in the early 1950s. (I'll give you a clue - it's a triangle in a circle).
I'll stick my neck out here and say the only thing wrong with it is the price.
