Are you sure it is even gold. It looks more like silver to me, but that could be just the picture quality/my monitor. A picture of the L marking would help

I've asked for a clearer picture of the back showing the "L/??" mark.
However I'm pretty sure no wound badge ever had this kind of hinge and coke bottle pin.

IMO, it looks like a Floch fake, most likely marked L/14 on the reverse.

It certainly looks like "L/?4".

Hello Adrian, don't bother with this badge. It is a Floch. Have a look at the cross guard on the left hand sword. You will notice that the left hand side has only four vertical bars, while the others have five. This is a known trait of these badges. Here is a link to an obverse photo of a Floch made "30" showing exactly the same characteristics and dot pattern. Floch was known to use the same obverse die for his various offerings.

Thanks Brett. Is there any verwundetenabzeichen at all that has that hinge and pin set up?

Hi Adrian, Contrary to forum lore, there are original badges with coke bottle style pins. Here is a link to a deemed genuine L/14 badge. Unfortunately the HWMF forum is now defunct, but this thread will give you the gist:
verwundetenabzeichen in gold ......floch or not
