It's not a gold badge but either black or silver that's been stripped back to the brass or steel and polished or even gold plated imo.

On dealers site is written:
Golden Wounded Badge(1939), hollow printed brass/metal, retains its complete original gold finish, maker marked LDO: "L/10", wide needle, soldered hinge and catch - rare variant, badge in unworn condition.
THe dealer is tell porky pies "lies".. That is not a Gold badge.. not worth much either 20 pounds max & I wouldn't pay that myself.. Cheers Terry.
I sent mail to dutsche dealer, and ask him,if the badge is original. He answered me:
Hello,
yes, as stated on our head page, all our items are
original with money return warranty.
It is one of the "Hero" fakes by Herr Staegemeier. These things appear
in all grades on his website with regularity. If the supplied photo could
be enlarged you would more than likely see the die flaw that gives the
game away. Not one to pursue.
Edit: I just enlarged the screen. The die flaw IS there on the helmet rim.

blimey Big Ned missed a Staegemeier, wonders never cease.
Is anything good on this site???
Spree-Militaria - Onlineshop für Militaria ab 1914
All combat badges without exception have been chemically cleaned and refinished IMO. Look at them and note the same bright, glossy finish and lack of patina. The Panzerkampfabzeichen's are at a glance generally O.K. although some are misdescribed like the silver S&L vertical crimp that is zinc and not cupal (never happened) as advertised. The minty Krim is a genuine F.O. piece, although again messed with.
There's a fantasy semi Hollow 4 rivet GAB marked JFS and the dearest badge of all, the RK 50 GAB priced at 2795 Euro's is an old fake.
So there's a mix of good and bad with just a 5 minute glance, closer inspection will reveal more fakes undoubtedly, the higher end CCC's and BKA's need looking at as I haven't time. But all have been refinished which kills it for many serious collectors. Not for me, I'd advise to avoid this site.
Regards, Ned.
