    Hello All,

I am interested in adding a GWB to my collection, as I already have a black and a silver, but gold is where it gets tricky, as they are often faked and quite expensive if you do come across a real one.

I recently came across this example and I am very interested to hear the opinions of the more experienced Verwundetenabzeichen collectors on wether this example is a good one.

The maker mark is 127 and sorry, but these are the only pictures that I have of this badge.

    Regards,
    Dave.

The badge appears to be original, but I am not sure that the finish is.

    Verwundetenabzeichen GOLD 127 real?
I also don't think the pin should have a bend near the hinge, a silver to compare here.
    Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber - 127.
    Another gold to compare here.

    Hi Ralph,

Thank you very much for your fast and detailed reply.

I have looked through all of the posts that you linked and I agree that the finish looks off compared with the other gold examples.

I have asked the seller for more pictures of the hinge/pin assembly and catch and I will post these as soon as I receive them.

    Regards,
    Dave.
