    It appears to be a K&Q (65) but I am not familiar with that style of hinge and catch on that makers badges.
    Both look to be formed from the metal of the badge itself rather applied separately.

    Some of the detail seems a little vague too.

    I am not a WB specialist and new things are discovered all the time so I'll be interested to see what WB experts think.

    It's a nice K&Q with the integral hinge and catch, congrats!
    You can compare with my example posted in this thread.

    Noted Ralph thanks! Where does this fit into the time line, earlier or later and is this one zinc (which would probably answer the question)? Yours (Ralph) looks like steel.

    IMO, later, due to the cost reduction of a one piece, stamped, medal.
    I suspect they may both be steel. I would have to check mine when I get home.
