I always though L/54 stamps were in an arched box under the catch. I may be wrong

Hello Pablo
I have also seen these badges marked L54 (no slash) in a straight incused box under the catch. I am not sure about
the one you show as the maker mark deviates considerably both in font & positioning.

I have had this L 54 badge without the slash ,and believe it is a good one????

Hello Dave
Your badge is fine. The silver badge shown should have the maker mark either in an arched box marked L/54, as Nick suggested, with the slash being
the central part of the arch , or marked L54 with no slash in a straight box. Both marks should be under the catch.
The badge Pablo shows looks suspiciously like a L/53 Hymmen & Co with the positioning of its raised maker mark & hardware, the
pin concealing the digit in question.

Brett
I contacted the seller and the badge is actually an L/53.
Hi Pablo
I had a feeling it might have been.
