so i recently got this ~60s strategic air command shirt. technically it could be from korea-70s, because of the way surplus is reused. but i assume it was 'nam era.
name plate has been removed, so it left a discolored box.
the fido patch is from a b-52 gunner. "c'est la vie" and below "strategic air command".
two of the patches are just his wings.
the bomber patch however i'm not sure about. i can't find anything about it.
the patch depicts an orange bomb with an atomic pattern around it, and "we set the example" on the bottom.
based on similar patches, i whittled it down to either "b-52 bomber" or "ICBM". i doubt it was manhattan project.
if anyone knows about this patch or even about the fido patch, i'm all ears. i especially want to know the history behind those groups, since not much is written about SAC in general.
