    just thought I would share .....


    Today(May 12) we salute Marine Sergeant Major John Canley who died yesterday in Bend, Oregon. Sergeant Major Canley was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2018 for his actions at the Battle of Hue City in February, 1968. For three days then Gunnery Sergeant Canlay took command of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines as they fought street by street in Hue in which he led attacks as well as carrying wounded Marines to safety while under fire.
