Hello
May I have Your thoughts, Whom could it be atributed to ?
Silver one is shown at Angolia's book on page 592
Gold one, came by a chance :)
Thank You.
Alex.

Sorry Alex, these buckles are pure fantasy items!
Best,
Guido
Guido Hello and Thanks for Your input
roundels / motifs ?
or "body" too ?
Alex.
Good morning
the bodies look good IMO, the motifs are "Harry Potter"...fantasy!
Gruß Max
Alex, as already mentioned by Max, the boxes should be ok!
But the roundels themselves are an absurdity. There is no real pattern known from the Third Reich.
Best,
Guido
So, fantasy motif
What about roundels themselves ? The way to attach ? Soldering ?
Looks not so bad.
Alex.
Yes, not good. The roundels are not legit. Sorry.....
Rob
This is perhaps a highly contentious buckle, although rather like Guido and Max, I think that we are looking at a fantasy item.
Having said that, perhaps I could mention a small point.
The overwhelming majority of these buckles have a specific design of roundel on both highly suspect and clearly fake boxes. The specific design being where the sword thrusts in a 4 o'clock to 10 o'clock position. The odd and rarely seen "variants" however has a roundel where the sword thrusts in a 2 o'clock to 8 o'clock position. In addition and toward the latter (like the ones that Alex has shown), it has a differing style of pebbling to the roundel and is seen on most convincing, period style boxes.
A small and potentially interesting point?
Regards,
David
Hello David, as always well done. Thank You.
It's pity, there are no way to trace where did this motif come from ?
no way to figure out When and How it had appeared on the market / into collection ?
and Why, there are very few of them are in circulation in spite of a very nice looking design ?
Thank You.
Alex.
What does Angolia say they are?
