Bavarian Police cap

I just picked up this Weimar period visor cap as worn by a Bavarian Police NCO. While not my real area of collecting, I am partial to Police headgear and I could not resist this cap. The low saddled cap is made of dark green wool with red wool piping. The front is complete with the scalloped Bayern and flat national Kokardes. The interior retains the oilcloth sweatband and a silver imprint of a maker in the lower Bavarian town of Neustadt a/D (Donau).
