    Hi

Tonights offering shows some pictures from an album of a Feldwebel who served in Artillery Regiment 2

Not a great deal of information to go on with these but the pictures , as always, allow some comment in their detail.

Firstly a WW1 picture circa 1917/18 showing our man on the right side standing....the guys playing cards look standard enough in their 1907 and 1915 tunics but closer inspection shows the epaulettes bear the insignia of the Air defence or Flak troops. Indeed the presence of the driver in full leather coat and hat supports the presumption they may well be Machine Flak units ie motorised .

Here they pose in the same barracks for a more "tougher" look.................

The next shot leaps forward a few years.....................on the left is our flak man, now in artillery regt 2.

Relaxing by the river/lake............dated 1926 on the back

Leading the charge, at the front of the shell.......................

learning to ski, essential for artillery troops ?.... dated 1926 and all the soldiers named on the back but not sure if it reads left to right or right to left so we can't put a name to a face as yet.

here we are at the "works do" in April 1927. The subject is four in from the left on the front row wearing his coat for some reason. The guy in the middle with the cap and coat on is also the same man from the formal shot in the court yard....wonder if they were on duty and came in for the group shot ?

I like the pics of the guys with their swords and the funny postcard with the shell.

Nice stuff as ever Tony. Thanks!

    Cheers, Ade.
