1918 Enfield. My GF has good taste! From last year. I am wondering if anyone can help me with the stamps. I think this may have been used with an Indian division. If better pics are needed, I'll get them.

She a beut..
And she has bit of a personality to her
You got a keeper, all of my girlfriends have hated guns, or never want to touch one. Hows it shoot?
Those stamps are modern US import marks.
Look under the bolt handle on the metal band on the stock.
Cheers, Ade.
gday, nice rifle , RFI Ishapore in India used 'GRI' as an inspection or veiw mark along with a crown and a number, if this is an enfield manufactured rifle with Ishapore inspection marks it was probably refirbished in india.
the electro pencilled tgi knox tn is a dealer in the US that imported the rifle ( you probably knew this)
what an excellent bday gift
EFD on the safety catch is an enfield marking and actually the GR with the E on the reciever looks enfield as well....... i cant really see any indian markings.
Check the barrel, wood, butt plate, almost everything is marked on these rifles
RSAF Enfield marked their rifles with an E or EFD or Enfield
There should be a serial number on the bolt, reciever, nosecap, they should all match
regards Paul

Sorry to break into you tread, but would anyone recommend a resource or a book of SMLEs (marks, manufactures, types etc) please?
