1944 M1 Garand

Thought I'd take some new and better pictures of my M1, as you can see bore pictures aren't the easiest thing to do. All part are Italian made, except the receiver. The receiver was stamped lightly or had some pitting at one point, making some markings somewhat hard to see. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures.

Very nice. Do you know the TE/MW numbers? How does it shoot?

Thanks, I've never taken the time to check the TE/MW. I just re aligned the sights so I'm not sure till I take it to the range, but with 1943 dated M2 it shot 1 to 2.5 inch groups at 100 yards

I am currently Garand-less. Went heavy on M14s and sold all the Garands.

The receiver was made somewhere between June or July, I'd like to think it saw use in D-Day but it was most likely a finished receiver that was sold to the Italians after the war. You could 'build your own' Garand and making it just for blanks, numrich has worn out M1 barrels for 20$ and then build it up. It'd make a nice project rifle
