    Default Beretta Model 26/31 6.35mm/.25automatic

This is the only one of these pistols that I have ever seen.. It is a rather scarce Model 26/31 6.35mm pistol, Fascist proof dated 1933.. It was the first of the Beretta pistols with the 'filbac' steel reinforced grips that became a norm with the rest of the Beretta's Ie: Mod 34,318,418,.. In the early 70s.. I was visited by two.. Italian Engineers who were also Militaria collectors.. They were my fathers age and had been in Italy durring the War. One was in the Fascist Infantry, and the other was in the Fascist Forest Militia, which guarded the forests of Italy.. He said that these 6.35mm/.25cal. pistols was carried by them while guarding the forests of Italy, and was very susprised to see one in the USA.. I told him that It was carried home by a US GI as a war souviner... Enjoy this Little BERETTA......BILL

This is the second version of the Beretta 1919 patern in 6,35/.25.
It has the safety on the grip but has not yet the disconnector that was introduced with the model 1926. This was produced in 1924.
