Bren mk1

Hi i yust got a bren mk1*, what is the differense on a mk1 and a mk1*? it has a number matching crate and 2 matching barrels.

If you tell me your serial number I may be able to give a date of manufacture and also tell you the original spec. There were about 7 versions of the Enfield made Mk1 alone. If you throw in the Inglis and Lithgow guns to theres even more. I've got 40 in my collection and I think more than half are of diffrent variations.
