    Got the S&W Letter in just 3 weeks showing this pistol was shipped from the S&W factory to Remington-UMC NY purchasing agents for the British Government on January 7, 1915; details below:

    Looks like a Government acceptance broad arrow mark and an Enfield inspection mark.
