    I think Spanish because the other smg in this case are Spanish.

    Woops, your right, I magnified it a bit and can see its a 28 alright. There must be a Lanchester there somewhere, no collections complete without one!

    These are a great look into the Berretta museum, thanks for posting.

    The early model FG42 is not often encountered, at the Musee des Invalides (excuse my French) there is a early and later model FG42 in the same cabinet - the museum has four floors of WW2 - but it is really a trip for the medieval weapons and armor aficionado.

    Pit.
