Hello all, I am hoping to get some opinions on this ZF41 scope mount. Marked duv with the 214 code below. Not serial numbered to any rifle, so if original would be a late war mount. Second style with the beveled roller mounts. These are a bit out of my wheelhouse so any input is always appreciated. Thank you for looking, Mike.

I will check mine at the weekend but my inclination is not great. I would expect the top mounts that screw into the base to be the same diameter as the base for a start. It also looks just a bit contrived.

Thank you for the reply. All original examples I have seen photos of, the top mount is always a little smaller than the base mount. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Mike

Don't like the markings K98K. Does not look German to me, more an info for actual buyers.
I possessed two of them without that marking.

All ZF41 scope mounts should be marked "K98k-Zf.41." on the back. I would be very suspicious of a mount that was not marked.

I can't imagine mines were fakes (cxn marked). They came with the rifles from trustable sources, some 40 years ago. I sold them to a museum 10 years ago, the curator being a specialist.
BBmilitaria is most probably right. But, is it possible that late models were not marked as described above?

From what I have read, all wartime mounts should be marked duv with the e214 inspection mark.
