Congratulations. A must have for any rifle collection
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

A must have! Great find. I too, must have one.

The rifle went through a rebuild at Red River arsenal. You picked up a nice one. I will look at my 1918 sling to help with the that issue.

Looks like you got one in really good condition. Always interesting to read the markings and stampings. Built like a tank and should be a blast to shoot.
This is entirely new to me. I have several mausers, mosins, Carcanos etc but my first American bolt action milsurp.
Pictures from the sling on my 43' garand, I hope it helps.

I'm thinking original, boys. Its too old to be repro.
That's a sweet looking rifle Darren. I think the sling has had a repair. The brass hooks were on the ww1 slings and the steel were on the ww 2 slings. I'm not sure o the date of the switch, but that's the rule of thumb my friend goes by. One day I might even get a chance to take pictures of my 03A3 lol. Too bad you missed all the cold weather up here. Hope your cold weather is warmer
