    Default German periscope gun device

    Greetings all,

I recently saved this device from an old war museums (out of business) storage room.
When I got it I did not really know what a h*ll it even was. Now I have made some google research and it seems to be Deckungszielgerät 43 made during the late 1942 or early 1943 for German eastern front battles ? Apparently it was meant for Gewehr 41/43 and also for captured Tokarev SVT-40 (Selbstladegewehr 259r ) I have found couple of photos of it in use. Does anybody know how many of these were built ? I dont think these are very common since there is so very little information available.
It is in amazingly good condition.
Any thoughts are more than welcome !

I did not regard this very special when I found it, but after all the research this might easily be the rarest item in my collection. Even though this DZG is rather rare item, it does not quite fit to my collection and most likely I will end up selling it
