I think I just caught a bad dose of the webleys
Article about: I have a chance to get a job lot but am uncertain of the value. The bores are supposedly good and I'm assured they lock up tight with good timing etc. They need love but I have the means to

300-500 American dollars for one. I would take that electrical tape though if you buy it. It looks pretty good.

I bought the lot for $1200 Canadian. Repro grips sell for $20 a set, but I think I will keep the tape for the classic look

Did another one today. I am REALLY impressed with this radocy stuff.
Would you know this gun has been refinished ?
The white on the cylinder is fag ash.

Nice work Mick. I think you have done a grand job on these. I am not usually fond of refinishing etc, but what with the lack of remaining original finish on these, I think you have done the right thing.
Is this blue a liquid or gel?
Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade, but I really can't be credited for doing great work, all I did was remove the pitting and sand blast the metal with dust then blue. I would expect everyone who uses it to get the same results, this stuff is incredibly easy to use.
It's a liquid

Re: I think I just caught a bad dose of the webleys
I finished the last of the MkV1 Webley's today. The one at the bottom was the worst of the lot. (Number 1 in the pic above ) It was so bad that even I considered just giving it a rough sandblast so as to mitigate the worst of the pitting. I had to remove quite a lot of metal, but all things considered I'm well pleased with the end result. All I'm waiting for now is for the repro grips to arrive, but sod all happens at this miserable time of the year

Here's a pic of a Springfield 87A I am helping a friend to restore. He found it in a field.
