    Here's an interesting observation from the book "The Boxer Rebellion and the Great Game in China" by David J. Sibley (2012) concerning effective of the ".22 repeating rifles" (aka The Winchester-Lee 6mm Model 1895 Navy rifle and the Lee-Metford employed during Adm. Seymour's Relief Expedition to relieve the siege of the Foreign Legations in Peking during June 1900.
