Re: Let's See Your RC K98's, P-38s, Lugers!!
I like them, so what made you guys buy a RC K98?
I bought mine because it was
1) Cheap
2) Peice of Great History
3) It was unique
Well, maybe more for this history then the cheap factor! haha

I certainly appreciate the history behind them... used by the Wehrmact, captured by the Russians and then stored away for World War III! Can't beat that! It also serves as a functional place holder until I can get a vet-bring-back, all matching K98 !

My Israeli K98k, ex Swedish: http://imgur.com/a/3ca9E#0
My Vet bring back, all metal matching plus upper handguard. Lower stock and cleaning rod don't match. http://imgur.com/a/6JH8O#0
Edit 1: Should be picking up a DOU 44 K98k on the 15th of this month, will post pictures in this thread if it's still alive.

thanks for posting. Can't get pics of kar 98ks Interesting to see all the codes and different years of production. Have a BYF 44 with the red laminate stock. Noticed how the final finish of polishing and bluing differs from pre and early war to the ones made in 44 or 45.
