Certainly a weapon disassembled and badly replaced, absolutely impossible to happen in the German army!

There are none original ww2 photos of German soldiers where you can see an MP38, MP40 with a ring on the left!

Truly not rebuilt by experts , But that is not a hard change to make. The barrel nut does come off. I've made a wrench out of 1" thick micata for that purpose!
I've done it on my Parts Kit MP40. Waiting for a Registered Tube to find at a decent price. Yeah I'll be putting that on my Bucket list!!!
