The only thing I can think that might be for is a commercial 1920 Luger Artillery model, with a 16 inch barrel. Some were even longer.
My initial thought was Artillery Luger, but I seem to think the rearsight was huge and wouldn’t fit in this... or am I imagining it incorrectly?
I suppose the ‘easy’ way to find out would be to find an Artillery Luger and try it on!
