Very Nice.
That's my first seeing one with British proof marks.
Thanks for showing it.
The last time I did see a Model 1917 at the shooting range was when I took my Concealed Carry class.
We had class room instruction and then to the range to qualify at the 7 yard line.
I had an elderly lady next to me, So when everybody took their pistol's out to shoot, She pull's one of these out.
She was a little old lady and with her size, this made it look like she had a Hand cannon.
I liked it and said so, She told me "This was my father's that he brought back from the War". Considering her age, I was sure he served in WW1.
So we start and she isn't hitting the target at all. I tried to help her with the hand hold, But still its way to big and heavy for her.
The instructor, Who brought several pistols of all configuration including halo sites and laser equipped. See's this and hands her a Browning Buck Mark 22 with EOTECH Halo site.
She passed!!!

Very nice looking revolver. Yes the US did send a bunch over the pond in 1940. I cannot remember the actual quantity and I have not seen any serial number records for which ones were actually shipped.
