Hello guys,
Two new rifles today. Both 1898 Krags. Both have been sporterized
I can get both for $250, is it worth it to try to make them correct or a lost cause? Sorry kind of a open ended question.
Thanks as always everyone.

Personally think a restoration will be very difficult and cost prohibitive. I have a 1898 carbine for many years. The Krag-Jorgensen has one of the smoothest actions ever made. The Swiss Karabiner Model 1931 straight pull is a bit slicker, but for a turn bolt action the Krag is smooooth.

John
