Hi Joe,what d`ya know,I think these rifles have been scrubbed,on top is 6.5mm,on bottom is date,one is 1915,other is 1916,only other mark is MC in triangle....Pete.

Hmmm... 1915 and 1916... that means that they were probably Moschetti per Truppe Speciali Mod. 91 (or 6.5 mm M91 TS, carbine for special troops, adopted 1897) with 17.7 inch barrel.
Can you take a pic of where the barrel and receiver mate? Mine looks like this... tons of stampings on the barrel flats:
They both have 20" barrels,and here are the top & bottom marks.
