Hey all, got this Uzi in today.
Been googling for a bit now but I for my life cannot find any other Uzi's with this marking except for one which gives no further information on it.
Anyone know anything about it??
Thanks,
J

It's definitely IDF, and similar to what was the IDF Mechanical Corps beret badge, if you can get me a clearer image of the writing at the bottom I might be able to help, I tried blowing it up but couldn't make it out.
Steve.
I didn't even realize there was any writing there, though I am completely clueless regarding israeli writing
huh, if it's such a 'normal' stamp.. why is it so hard to find any examples on google with that stamp?
Steve is correct on IDF stamp. My guess not too many question the stamp as to lack of info on the web. There are many examples if you search for the IDF stamp. Just my thoughts.

You probably need someone with better knowledge of guns than me to answer that, the only thing I can say is that anything with Hebrew stamped on it is for domestic use, exported products are stamped in English. This link has one with an IMI stamp on it:
UZI 9mm Sub Machine Gun by Israeli Military Industries (IMI) - Wharton Militaria
With the majority of Uzi's being used outside of Israel, and the number of licensed manufacturers, it may go some way to explaining it.
Steve is correct, That is an IMI stamped UZI.
Israeli Military Industries.
The IDF symbol does not have the Cog wheel around it.
The IMI imports to the US are just marked with IMI-ISRAEL. + the model and caliber
Very Nice.
If looking for more info, may I suggest,

Been on that site for years.
Good people.
