I’d say it was a Tokarev magazine

Definitely a Tokarev magazine, used in both the TT-30 and TT-33. The star indicates Soviet manufacture. It was stamped on all the major components of the pistol as well.

Tokarev pistols were also manufactured by China (as the Type 54) and in Poland (as the M48) among other Eastern Bloc countries.
