ZF4 scope serial numbers

Hello,

I would like to ask if the ZF4 scopes of the wehrmacht all had different serial numbers regardless of manufacturer or if there could be 2 ZF4 scopes with the same serial number but both have different manufacturers. For example serial number 12345 for manufacturer ddx and serial number 12345 for manufacturer dow.

I would be happy about an answer.

Hello,

No all serial numbers as far as I know are individual and blocks of them allocated to each manufacturer. There is a database on line with all of them and the known manufacturers. Unfortunately these are copied and if your serial number is no matching up then that seems to be case.
