Some photos of Egyptian camouflage covers from the 1973 war, the colored photos are from a 1990s exercise but look to be the same pattern

Jordanian used British MkII with distinctive camouflage paint, marked on the shell which corresponds to the writing in the liner.











This photo is credited as being taken in the week prior to the 1967 war shows the same type of cammo

This one I've had for sometime, Syrian used Wz50 that has been painted by Israelis.

Some fantastic helmets!
Here's my WZ 50, picked up in Iraq and 'smuggled' back to the UK in a mk6 helmet cover.
I Hope you don't mind me posting as it may or may not be a veteran of the Arab wars.
The chin strap has a nice DAY repair. I applied some dubbin to the liner as it was getting dry and stiff. I know this may be considered a cardinal Sun in some circles...........

Bendy (sorry i don't know your name either) i'm with you on the liner, i'd much sooner use some dubbin etc rather than have the liner fall to bits.

It's very welcome to the thread, and I've used dubbin on a couple of helmets, sometimes you have no choice.

As Bendy has posted his fine example i might as well add mine to the thread
This one is most likely to have seen use in the Middle East and is the last variant Vz53/80 From Czechoslovakia, the Green webbing straps have Bleached out ,the liner is showing strong signs of extreme heat conditions and the hardware is showing heavy corrosion
