    Thanks Roberto ,It is Reversable to a woodland pattern and has what is best described as an incorporated sniper type veil around the Circumferance of the cover

    these go well displayed with my Chinese surplus SKS rifle , ammo pouch, water bottle , dummy stick grenades , I have a plain one and one with a painted red star on the front

    Ive seen photos of this helmet used in places like Africa , Middle East , pretty much any country that gets military supplies from China.

    “G(Gāng钢)”means “steel”, and “K(Kūi盔)means “helmet.” These helmets are considerably cheap in China, especially in used conditions, which would take about $6 or $7 for one. You may spend $30 to $50 for an unissued helmet, but they are easy to find.

    Now that we did an overview of the helmet let's see more details.

    The older 2 point-chinstrap received with the helmet
    & the new 4 point-chinstrap received a few days ago.

    The liner, a copy of the Riddell system can easily be removed,
    held to the shell with 6 metallic clips. Interior view.

    The headband is attached to the cradle & cannot be removed by itself.
    Note the thickness of the foam padding.

    About the characters on the helmet:
    吴浩本 Wú, Hàobēn. Possibly the name of the soldier who wore this helmet
    TXL20, possibly the abbreviation of “Tōng Xùn Lián”, i.e. The radio communication company. 20 may refer to the number of the unit, i.e. The 20th radio communication company.

    Thumbs up used surplus with camo paint

    these used surplus camo painted China GK80 steel helmets on Ebay have a nice field used look , these have a lot of character with honest wear and would look good on display.
