Same 60s liner of my M40C for this M27 police made by Verblifa in 1933:

Well made helmet with an attractive shape, I think.

This one was probably refurbished for the Munincipal Police (Gemeentepolitie).

So those without the grenade could be from Gemeentepolitie? I have a side cap from them.
I think the M27 shape is more attractive than that of M34 and M38.

Yes. I would think so. In general the Gemeentepolitie did not have insignia om the M27 etc. types.

The later introduced M1 clones did sport insignia's. Rijkspolitie (starburst with grenade) as well as Gemeentepolitie (starburst with sword and law book).

In Italy the Municipal Police (Polizia Locale) never had steel helmets.

Yes, mainly in the big cities, or for the celebrations. They are made by cork, and each town have is own insigna.
