GIGN (Groupe d’intervention de la Gendarmerie nationale)
Hi, mates,
Wanna show you this helmet, I received today.
It is an gift of a fellow collectors mate.
IMO it´s an helmet of the GIGN, (Groupe d’intervention de la Gendarmerie nationale) ?
At a first glance, a soviet lid ...
If you hold the helmet in your own hands, it´s an "Black One" ...
But, sunlight, and, flashlight are showin´, the helmet is blue painted !
I´m curious, if such lids also saw action in the RAID, (Recherche, Assistance, Intervention, Dissuasion) ...
The shell is non-magnetic !
IMHO it´s an french, M78 F-1 (2nd pattern A-4) helmet ?
FRANCÉS 78 F1 TAP
Any, (further), informations appreciated !
Thx., in advance,
R.

Hello
Nice helmet. As you mentioned from the military part of the police (gendarmerie)
It is a F1 specific for them (colour and shinstrapà)
The A4 was only for the test helmets. In fact they kept the shell of the A4 and the Liner of the A5
Best
Bruno
