Hello,

here a variant of the West German police helmet, which cannot be assigned without a doubt.

The shell was manufactured by Linnemann and Schnetzer in Ahlen (LS or LSA)

Externally, it corresponds to the model for the Berlin police.

However, it has no stamps from the Berlin police in the leather.

The interior of the I53 differs in that the sheet metal strips are painted in blue-grey.

The clearly identifiable helmets of the Berlin police have the typical ownership stamp on the leather and metal strips painted black-green.

The chin strap of this variant has had the paint removed from the folded leather sides on the holder.

The color of this helmet could be a variant of the Berlin police or the Lower Saxony state police. Personally, I tend to prefer the last one. But I have no evidence.
