Thanks James, and I think I will leave it "as is". I'm still planning on covering our Isreali M-1 in burlap and put an inner tube band around the edge to dress that lid up and we just rec'ved a net in the mail for one of our BW M1A1 LL, just need to figure out how that thing is suppose to be fitted on. Starting on the gas masks later today, helmets are done.
