Identifying fire helmet medallion

I think this is a german or Autrian Fire helmet but can't find documentation on medallion. Can anyone help?

My guess is Bavarian pre WW1. I could only get one positive comparison using good image so not conclusive.

I'm not sure about Bavarian but it's German lid, the design on the badge are mirrored stylised F's which stand for Freiwilliger Feuerwehr. There are also two axe heads missing from the top of the roundel, you can see the axe shafts at the bottom.
