Iraqi/ bulgarian trophy helmet

Hello everyone.
I bought this helmet on a trip to the states about 10 years ago.
It was purchased privately along with an ACH ( they're a lot cheaper out there!)
I'm trying to research it, but can't find anything about the iraqi army ever using Bulgarian helmets.
I'm looking for opinions on it.
Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like a bring back by an 82nd AB veteran who was in Samawah, Iraq back in 2003. Google the battle of Samawah and all will become clear. Nice find.
