Default M1 nape strap with WD arrow

I've seen an M1 (or M1 clone) with a nape strap which is "crows foot"-marked. I grabbed a load of pics (of the strap) but all stenciling was weak...this is the strongest one...it was definitely an arrow (I could see it clearer than the camera could!). I also grabbed one pretty unhelpful snap of the outside. I don't understand it...does anyone else pls?

Could be an Aussie made item. We made our own M1's in the 1970's.

That's interesting....I've remembered an Aussie camo item which is green and black.....'same colours as the scrim net on this one.....the webbing LOOKS non-US green.... Perhaps that's it....mystery solved ????

is there anything special about an Aussie "M1" which would close the case please?

I would love to see more pics of the whole liner.
