Time to cap this up, a few days early.
Thanks to JesperS & emileverbunt, you guys know your helmets.

Here's a little info about each helmet.
1- Spanish M42/79, Spanish version of the German M35.
    Adopted 1943, modified 1979.

2- Hungarian M38. 75,000 helmets exported to Finland in 1941.
Refurbished with Finnish liners in the1950s.

3- West German M35/50. Finland ordered 50,000 of them in 1955.

4- Spanish M21, also known as "Sin ala" meaning without wings.
Not adopted officially but used during the Spanish Civil War & after.

5- Portuguese M40. In usage until the 70s.

6- Bulgarian M36 model C. The M36 helmets remained in service up into the 1990s!

7- East German M56. Initially rejected by Hitler (1944) but adopted by the NVA (Nationale Volksarmee) in 1956! Yesterday's NO can be tomorrow's YES!..

8- Greek M34/39. Wrongly believed to be from Italian origin for a long time. We know now that it's a Greek helmet manufactured on the island of Kea. More than 250,00 were produced until1941.

9- Yugoslavia M59. Known also as "na44", in usage from 1959 until the partition of Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

10- Bulgarian M36 model A. Many refurbished with Bulgarian M51 parts, these also remained in service till the 1990s.

11- Swiss M18 refurbished 1943. Used by the Swiss Army up to the 80s.

12- Spanish M26, also known as "Con ala" meaning with wings.
Adopted in 1930 with an initial budget for 20,000 helmets to be manufactured the same year.

    I've got another one ready!
    Next: Quiz #2 M1 helmets & derivatives.

    Regards
    Jack
