Default Unknown helmet showing a plastic shell (despatch rider ?)

    Hello,

    I have a helmet shwowin a plastic ´shell here, which I can't really classify.

I'm leaning towards the early Bundeswehr here, or BGS / Bundesgrenzschutz, (Federal Border Guard).

It probably shouldn't be a Panzerschutzhelm (tank driver's helmet), but rather a Kradmelder / motorcyclist's, (despatch rider), helmet.

I could not find any maker's marks or stamps.

I don't believe that this is a "civilian" helmet.

Interesting, I received this helmet once along with these dust goggles.
It should be a Wehrmacht dust goggles, (Staubschutzbrille der Wehrmacht), if I'm not mistaken?

A long time ago I received a steel helmet from the Bundesgrenzschutz, which is also equipped with such glasses.
Could it be that the BGS applied Wehrmacht equipment, such as dust goggles?

    Many thanks in advance,
    R.

I think this is a Bundeswehr (made by Römer) crash helmet.

Also in use by the Netherlands in the sixties and seventies for use by despatch riders.

    Cheers,
    Emile

Yes, it may be a variant of the Kradhelm, "Erstes Modell", (despach riders helmet), (First Model / first pattern), of the Bundeswehr.

The manufacturer could be "Hans Römer, Neu-Ulm".

Hello, it is not a Bundeswehr model.

The typical ear cups are missing.

There are also no rivets on the side of this forehead pad.
