Survived the airfield bombings. Came back home safe. (3) Uncle Earl (my buddy). Enlisted at 17 years old after Pearl Harbor. Navy Amphibians - PT Boats, Landing Crafts. Battle of Bougainville and other Island landings. Occupation of Japan. Korea - USS Toledo heavy cruiser. Came back home safe. Stateside during Vietnam.
