Looking for your thoughts on insurance as my collection is growing.

Do you insure your items?
If so with who(home owners or other company)
Any advice on getting a policy if you have one.
Do you have to have someone come into your home to estimate collection value.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. As I have not looked into this.

A very secure room from theft, fire and flood is a much better option and less expensive in the long run. Humidity control is also a must.

For insurance your record keeping needs to be impeccable. buying, trading, selling, it all has to be updated when these activities happen. If you miss any of those activities and fail at good record keeping insurance becomes meaningless.
