    Thank Nick.
I like these old monuments. I live in a fairly rural area so I seldom
    see any in my travels.

Yes. It’s really beautiful. I think the armory that it’s in front of is homeless shelter now. People drinking and flicking butts around. Not making any judgements. I just don’t think too many look up and say “Hmm. The 14th infantry. I wonder who they were”. Haha

Yes that Armory which takes up about a city block is now a homeless shelter. I believe the Armory was home to the 69 Infantry, one of the storied Units of WWI and the "Lost Battalion" was a member of.

I'm glad this got bumped to the top. I missed it the first time around
    Thanks Paddy for posting that.
It is an awesome statue and tribute to those that served in WW1.
I also thought the engraved corner stone to the right was an interesting piece from Gettysburg.

Quite the historic place. I guess they did some modifications to the inside to house the less fortunate.

Thanks again for sharing that interesting land mark.

Awesome Phil! Thank for the kind words and sharing this as well. Gettysburg is a special place .... Ive been there a few times ... Oozes history and feeling. Id love to settle down in a town like that .... read and hang out w my family (and helmets haha). Business keeps me in the big city so Im glad I can reflect on this piece when I walk by everyday.
