37mm Trench Art

Hello all, here is a piece of trench art I have had for a while. It is made from two 37mm shell casings, the one casing is cut in half and fit over the other. It seems to have been from an infantry support 37mm mle. 1916 or the Puteaux SA-18 which was the armament on the Renault FT.

“EL” and the Cross of Lorraine have been carved onto the piece. Not as extravagant as the usual large artillery shells with grand carvings but still interesting.
